AIRPORT-ASSISTANCE, AIRPORT-CONCIERGE, AIRPORT-MEET-AND-GREET, MICHAEL-CANO, MEET-AND-GREET, GATEWAY-VIP-SERVICES 8American Airlines recently announced its new partnership with Uber to create a seamless travel experience for customers. The partnership should not only expedite the travel process, but reduce stress and add perks for travelers.

American Airlines’ director of partner marketing, Scott Hinshaw, said, “We are excited to partner with the only global ride sharing service to offer customers exactly what they are asking for – a seamless travel experience, whether they are in the sky or on the ground.” Hinshaw added, “By working together, we can provide a service that allows customers to request their Uber ride to the airport in step with their itinerary and know where to meet their Uber driver after their flight lands.”

One of the advantages for American Airlines’ travelers, made possible by the new partnership, is the ability to set a reminder for an Uber ride the moment they purchase their flight ticket. American has also updated their app to make navigating the airport and reaching the nearest Uber pickup location easier than ever at 11 airports across the country. For now, the navigation service is available for the most prominent destinations, like: Los Angeles International (LAX), Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW), Chicago’s O’Hare International (ORD), and both of New York’s airports, John F. Kennedy International (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA).

The two company’s are currently offering incentives for customers to utilize the new seamless door-to-door services. Of the many perks is a promo code for $20 off a ride, available to American customers who are not yet registered with Uber. Additionally, customers who use their AAdvantage Aviator MasterCard to book their Uber rides, will be awarded two additional bonus miles for every $1 spent on Uber’s app. This offer will be available from February through the end of July.

A partnership of this nature, between a major airline and a ride service, has allegedly been discussed by several different airlines, but American is the first to bring the concept to reality. The new relationship is sure to create a more pleasant travel experience for customers. For more information regarding American Airlines news, [Click Here].
